The Homestead Strike took place in Homestead, Pennsylvania, at the Homestead Steel Works, which was Andrew Carnegie's largest steel mill located just outside of Pittsburgh along the Monongahela River. This violent labor dispute occurred in 1892 between the Carnegie Steel Company and its workers, involving a significant battle between striking workers and private security guards hired by the company.
