The U.S. Constitution was signed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, specifically in the Assembly Room of the Pennsylvania State House, now known as Independence Hall. The signing took place on September 17, 1787, at the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention, which had convened in Philadelphia from May to September of that year. This historic location is the same place where the Declaration of Independence was signed.
