The movie "Weapons" was filmed primarily in and around Atlanta, Georgia. Although the story is set in the fictional town of Maybrook, Pennsylvania, filming locations included various suburbs of Atlanta such as Tucker (where Brockett Elementary School was used as Maybrook Elementary), Covington (including a BP gas station), Decatur, East Point, Griffin, Jonesboro, and Stone Mountain. Principal photography took place from May to July 2024. The filmmakers sought to create the look and feel of a small Northeastern town, but chose Georgia for filming due to its versatile landscapes and film production resources.
