The world's largest pyramid by volume is the Great Pyramid of Cholula, also known as Tlachihualtepetl, located in Cholula, Puebla, Mexico. It is the largest pyramid in the world in terms of volume, covering more area and having almost double the volume of the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, though it is not as tall as the Egyptian pyramid. The Great Pyramid of Cholula stands about 66 meters (216 feet) tall and has a base covering nearly 16 hectares (about 39.5 acres).
