Bluey was created by Joe Brumm. He conceived the idea in 2016, developed a one-minute pilot through his Studio Joho, and then partnered with Ludo Studio to expand it into a five-minute pilot. The series was later produced by Ludo Studio in Queensland, Australia, and officially premiered with a season of episodes that began releasing in 2018. Brumm’s vision for Bluey drew on his experiences as a parent and his background in animation, aiming to depict imaginative play and family-centered stories with an Australian voice.
