Subway Surfers was created by two Danish private companies, SYBO Games and Kiloo. SYBO Games was founded by Sylvester Rishøj Jensen and Bodie Jahn- Mulliner, who co-developed the game alongside Kiloo. The game was developed as a tribute to street culture, including elements like graffiti, animation, music, and skateboarding. It launched in 2012 and quickly became one of the most popular endless runner mobile games worldwide.
