Angel Reese is an American professional basketball player born on May 6, 2002. She currently plays as a forward for the Chicago Sky in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and for Rose BC in the Unrivaled basketball league. Nicknamed "Bayou Barbie" and "Chi Barbie," Reese played college basketball for the Maryland Terrapins and the LSU Tigers. She is known for her strong rebounding skills and dynamic play style. Reese attended Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland, and was a top-ranked recruit. Her college career started at Maryland, but after a breakthrough sophomore season marred by injury in her freshman year, she transferred to LSU. She set NCAA and SEC records in rebounds and double-doubles and was named SEC Player of the Year and an All-American.
