David Goggins is an American motivational speaker, author, retired United States Navy SEAL, ultramarathon runner, ultra-distance cyclist, and triathlete. Born on February 17, 1975, in Buffalo, New York, he has a notable military career, having served in the U.S. Air Force from 1994 to 1999 and the U.S. Navy SEALs from 2001 to 2015.
