Wallace and Gromit were created by Nick Park, an English filmmaker and animator. He developed the characters while he was a student at the National Film and Television School, initially for his graduation project. The creation was supported and produced by Aardman Animations, a Bristol-based studio. Nick Park's creation of Wallace and Gromit began with sketches and stories about a man and his dog, brought to life through traditional stop-motion animation techniques. The first short film featuring the duo, "A Grand Day Out," was completed in 1989. Nick Park's work on Wallace and Gromit has earned numerous awards, including multiple Academy Awards and BAFTA Awards.
