The current owners of Aston Villa Football Club are billionaire Nassef Sawiris from Egypt and American businessman Wes Edens. They own the club through their holding company called V Sports, which they control jointly. Sawiris and Edens became owners in 2018 after purchasing the club from Chinese investor Tony Xia. They initially bought a majority stake and later took full ownership. In 2023, Atairos, an American investment company, became a minority partner in V Sports, but V Sports retains full control of Aston Villa. Sawiris and Edens serve as co-chairmen and have been instrumental in restoring the club’s competitive status in the Premier League and European competitions.
