The racehorse Journalism is owned by a partnership that includes Bridlewood Farm, Don Alberto Stable, Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, Elayne Stables 5 LLC, Robert V. LaPenta, and the Coolmore team represented by Mrs. John Magnier, Derrick Smith, and Michael Tabor as lessees. This ownership group came together after Eclipse purchased Journalism for $825,000 at the 2023 Fasig- Tipton Saratoga Sale, with Don Alberto Corporation as the breeder. The Coolmore group joined the ownership prior to the 2025 Santa Anita Derby with an agreement to stand Journalism at Ashford Stud upon retirement
