Newcastle United is owned by a consortium led by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), which holds the majority ownership of around 85%. Alongside the PIF, RB Sports & Media holds the remaining approximately 15% stake in the club. Amanda Staveley and her company PCP Capital Partners, who were initially part of the ownership when the consortium took over in October 2021, stepped down in July 2024. The takeover was completed when Mike Ashley sold the club for £305 million in October 2021.
