Singtel is majority owned by Temasek Holdings, the investment arm of the Singapore government, which holds about 50-55% of the company's issued share capital. The remainder of the shares are publicly owned. Temasek Holdings is thus the largest single owner of Singtel, giving the Singapore government substantial control over the company.
