The Miami Dolphins are owned primarily by Stephen M. Ross. He bought a majority stake in the team and its stadium starting in 2008 and currently holds about an 84.5% ownership share. In late 2024, Ross sold minority stakes—about 13% combined—to Ares Management and Brooklyn Nets owners Joe Tsai and Oliver Weisberg, but he remains the controlling owner and chairman. Ross is a real estate developer and his ownership includes the team, Hard Rock Stadium, and related sports assets.
