Dick Cheney was the 46th Vice President of the United States, serving from January 20, 2001, to January 20, 2009, under President George W. Bush. Prior to that, he was the Secretary of Defense under President George H. W. Bush (1989–1993) and later held various roles in the private sector and Congress. He is widely described as one of the most powerful and influential vice presidents in U.S. history. He passed away in November 2025.
