The main Allies in World War II were the United Kingdom, the United States, the Soviet Union, and China, often referred to as the "Big Four" powers. France was also a significant member until 1940. Besides these principal members, many other countries were part of the Allies including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Belgium, Netherlands, Greece, Yugoslavia, and several others across the world who joined the effort against the Axis powers such as Germany, Italy, and Japan.
