“Jingle Bell Rock” is officially credited as being written by Joseph Carleton Beal and James Ross Boothe.

However, singer Bobby Helms and guitarist Hank Garland later claimed they substantially rewrote the original song (then titled “Jingle Bell Hop”) but were never given songwriting credit.
