You usually don’t see Spotify Wrapped for one of a few common reasons, most often because the account isn’t eligible yet, the feature hasn’t fully rolled out to you, or there’s an app/account issue.
Common eligibility reasons
- You didn’t listen enough this year: Spotify only generates Wrapped if you’ve streamed a minimum amount (for example, dozens of tracks from multiple artists over the year), and very new or inactive accounts often get the “we don’t have your Wrapped this year” message.
- You joined too recently: If you created the account only a few months before Wrapped, there may not be enough data to generate a story.
- Region limits: Wrapped isn’t available in every country, so if you’re in a restricted region you may not get it at all.
App and rollout issues
- Rollout timing: Wrapped typically rolls out in late November or early December and can take some time to appear for everyone, so checking a bit early can show nothing yet.
- Outdated app: Older versions of the Spotify app may not show the Wrapped entry point; updating to the latest version often fixes this.
- Device or OS problems: Very old operating systems or compatibility issues can stop the Wrapped story from opening properly.
Things to try right now
- Make sure you’re on the correct account (the one you actually use for listening) and log out/in once.
- Update the Spotify app from the App Store/Play Store, then search “Wrapped” inside Spotify’s search bar, or look for the Wrapped banner on Home.
- Check your internet connection, clear the app cache, and try on another device or the mobile app instead of desktop.
If all of that is fine and you still don’t see it, the most likely explanation is that your listening this year didn’t meet Spotify’s internal thresholds or your region is not supported, in which case Wrapped just won’t be generated for that account this year.
