Former FBI Director James Comey was indicted on two felony charges: making false statements to Congress and obstructing a congressional proceeding. These charges stem from his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee in September 2020, during which he allegedly lied about authorizing leaks to the media regarding investigations, including the one into Hillary Clinton, and then obstructed the committee by providing false and misleading information.
