Most people miss Spotify Wrapped either because they weren’t technically eligible this year or because the feature is there but not showing properly in the app.
Common eligibility reasons
Spotify only generates Wrapped if your account has enough listening data for the year. Typical requirements include:
- You listened to at least around 30 different tracks for more than 30 seconds each.
- Those tracks came from at least about 5 different artists.
If you barely used Spotify, used it mostly offline in a way that didn’t sync, or switched accounts during the year, Wrapped might not be created or might be incomplete.
App or account issues
Sometimes Wrapped exists but does not appear on the home screen because of technical issues. Common causes:
- Out‑of‑date Spotify app version, especially on mobile.
- Corrupted app cache or low storage making the Wrapped story fail to load.
- Temporary server load or regional rollout delays, where it appears for others before you see it.
Region and account settings
Wrapped is not available in every country each year because of local data/privacy rules. If your account region is set to, or was moved to, an unsupported country, the Wrapped experience may not show at all even if you listened a lot. In some cases, users also reported a message like “You’re not eligible for Wrapped this year” when their account or data didn’t meet Spotify’s internal criteria.
Quick things you can try now
These steps won’t guarantee you had a Wrapped, but they will reveal it if it exists and fix most display problems:
- Update the Spotify app to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
- Fully close and reopen the app, then check the Home tab for a Wrapped banner.
- Clear Spotify’s cache (in app settings) and make sure you have a stable internet connection and some free storage.
- Try going to spotify.com/wrapped or searching
spotify:datastories:wrappedin the app’s search bar on your phone.
If none of that brings it up, it almost certainly means Spotify didn’t generate a Wrapped for your account this year, and the only way to get one next year is to use the same account consistently and stream a decent amount of music throughout the year.
