Oasis broke up primarily due to ongoing and intense personal and professional conflicts between the two Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel. The final blow came in August 2009 after a backstage fight between them at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, which led to the cancellation of their performance and Noel announcing his departure from the band. Noel cited that he could no longer continue working with Liam due to their deteriorated relationship, which had been marked by disputes over issues including Liam's designer clothing label and other personal clashes. This breakup ended one of the most successful British rock bands, which had sold over 70 million records worldwide. The feud between the brothers overshadowed the band’s journey until they reconciled and reunited for a tour in 2025.
