Nexstar stated they would replace the show with other programming in their ABC-affiliated markets for the foreseeable future. Although Disney and ABC have decided to resume airing Jimmy Kimmel's show as of September 23, 2025, it remains unclear if Nexstar will restore the show on their stations, as they have not confirmed a return yet. Sinclair, another major ABC affiliate group, also continues the suspension independently of ABC's decision.
