The cervix of a woman is typically about 3 to 4 inches (7.5 to 10 cm) deep when unaroused. For some women, known as having a high cervix, it can be deeper, around 4 to 5 inches. For others with a lower cervix, it may be less than 3 inches deep. The cervix is a narrow passage between the uterus and vagina, and its depth varies from person to person and also changes depending on factors such as arousal and childbirth. Additionally, the cervix itself measures approximately 4 cm (1.6 inches) in length as an anatomical structure within that passage.
