Walter White died in the series finale of Breaking Bad, titled "Felina." He returned to Albuquerque to confront a neo-Nazi gang holding Jesse Pinkman captive. Walt rigged an M60 machine gun in the trunk of his car that he triggered remotely during a shootout, killing most of the gang members. During the chaos, Walt took a gunshot wound himself. After the shootout, he shared a farewell moment with Jesse, then walked into a meth lab where he eventually died from his gunshot wound, with a slight smile on his face. His death symbolized both the consequences of his actions and a form of twisted peace or redemption. Though Walt was originally diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, it was ultimately the gunshot wound that caused his death.
