XXXTentacion, born Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, died on June 18, 2018, after being shot during an armed robbery outside a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He was leaving the dealership when an SUV blocked his car, and two masked gunmen approached, demanding his possessions. One of the assailants fired multiple shots at him, hitting him in the neck and other areas, leading to fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly after the attack. The robbers stole a Louis Vuitton bag containing $50,000 that XXXTentacion had recently withdrawn from a bank. Four men were charged in connection with his murder; three were convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole, while the fourth pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in exchange for testimony against the others.
