Samson’s strength is described in the biblical narrative as supernatural and God-enabled rather than purely physical. In Judges, his feats include tearing a lion apart with his bare hands, slaying many Philistines with improvised weapons, and finally toppling the Philistine temple by pushing apart its supporting pillars. Across these stories, the emphasis is on the power given to him by the Spirit of the Lord, rather than a typical muscular build, and his strength is portrayed as operational for specific purposes aligned with Israel’s deliverance and God's plan during that era. This strength is clearly linked to his Nazarite vow and the Spirit’s empowerment, rather than simply raw physique.
