To see your YouTube Recap, you normally use the YouTube or YouTube Music app while signed into your Google account, then open it from the profile/“You” section when it becomes available near the end of the year.
On the YouTube app
- Open the YouTube app on your phone and make sure you are signed in.
- Tap the “You” tab (or your profile picture) and look for a banner or card saying something like “Your Recap is here” or “Your Music Recap is here,” then tap it to view the stories and stats.
On YouTube Music
- Open the YouTube Music app, sign in, then tap your profile picture.
- Choose “Your Recap,” then tap “Get your Recap” to see your playlists and stats; you can also download or share the recap stories from there.
If you don’t see it
- Make sure the YouTube/YouTube Music apps are updated to the latest version and that your watch history and activity auto‑delete are not turned off or aggressively deleting older activity.
- Recaps usually require a minimum amount of listening or watch time in the year, so if you used YouTube very little, your recap might not generate.
