Michael Chiarello, a celebrity chef and former Food Network star, died at the age of 61. He passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, after suffering an acute allergic reaction that led to anaphylactic shock. Chiarello was known for his decades-long career as a chef and restaurateur in Northern Californias Napa Valley, where he established himself as one of the most influential chefs. He launched several restaurants, an olive oil company, a winery, and published several cookbooks. Chiarello became a regular face on a number of food shows and competitions, including “Next Iron Chef” and “Chopped” . He hosted his own Food Network show, “Easy Entertaining with Michael Chiarello,” which ran for ten seasons and won three Emmys between 2003 and 2006.
