Generation X is the generation that comes before Millennials. According to Investopedia, Generation X was born between the mid-1960s and the early-1980s, after baby boomers and before millennials. The birth years for Generation X vary, but all agree that Gen X follows the baby boom generation and precedes Generation Y or the millennial generation. Therefore, Generation X includes people born between 1965 and 1980.
