Chris Tucker is an American stand-up comedian and actor who was one of the biggest names in comedy in the 1990s and 2000s. He starred in hit films like Friday, The Fifth Element, and the Rush Hour trilogy. However, after Rush Hour, Tucker seemingly disappeared from the big screen. In a recent interview with GQ, Tucker revealed that he felt like he had hit a ceiling in Hollywood and wanted more than just being the biggest comic or actor in the world. He wanted to become somebody who could give to the world and inspire others in some way. Tucker took a hiatus from acting and focused on other ventures, including his humanitarian efforts through the Chris Tucker Foundation, a non-profit designed to positively affect families on an international scale. He also traveled the world and did a lot of humanitarian work that broadened his perspective on the world. Tucker has since returned to the big screen, starring in the film Air, which is his first film in seven years.
