Leni Fevola had to leave The Amazing Race Australia 2025 due to illness. During the seventh leg of the race in Sri Lanka, she became very sick with what was suspected to be a severe bug, possibly a super aggressive strain of COVID or the flu. This illness forced her father, Brendan Fevola, to complete that leg of the race alone. Despite his strong effort, Brendan was told it was a virtual pit stop, meaning they had to continue racing, but physically and emotionally exhausted, he made the heartbreaking decision to withdraw from the race to prioritize Leni's health. After leaving the show, Leni was bedridden for over a week, developed a six-week chest infection, and then had her appendix burst, confirming that quitting was the right decision. Both Brendan and Leni expressed pride in their experience and the bonds they formed during the race despite the early exit due to her health issues.
