Miyeon was supposed to debut with BLACKPINK, but she left YG Entertainment before the groups debut. It is unclear why she left, but there are rumors that she was kicked out because of her relationship with Mix & Match contestant Jinhyeong. Other reports suggest that she may have been removed from BLACKPINK because she didnt make the final cut. After leaving YG Entertainment, Miyeon signed with Cube Entertainment and debuted as a member of (G)I-DLE in 2018.
