Atreus is a character in the God of War video game series. He is the deuteragonist of God of War (2018) and one of the two protagonists of God of War Ragnarök along with Kratos. Atreus is the son of Kratos and is also known as Loki, the Norse god of mischief, storytelling, and chaos. Although Atreus is mainly known as Loki, he has not fully embodied the trickster gods personality yet, but he already demonstrates many of the characteristics of the mythological Norse god. Atreus is depicted as a curious and intelligent boy with a deep interest in Norse mythology, which he often shares with his father. He is half-human and half-god, as his mother was a giant and his father is a Greek god. Atreus is also empathetic and kind, and he cant stand to see the suffering of others because he feels it on such an intimate level.
