Call waiting is a telecommunication feature that allows you to receive notifications of incoming calls while you’re already on a call. When call waiting is enabled on your iPhone, youll receive a notification whenever a new incoming call arrives while youre on another call. The notification consists of an audible tone and a visual prompt on your iPhone’s screen, which shows you the caller’s name or number. You can tap the Flash key on your phone to answer the second call while you put the first one on hold. On the iPhone, when a second call comes in, the phone rings (and/or vibrates) as usual, and the screen displays the name or number of the caller, just as it always does. Buttons on the screen offer you three choices: Ignore, Hold Call + Answer, and End Call + Answer. To enable call waiting on your iPhone, go to Settings > Phone > Call Waiting and activate the selection.
