NID DAT stands for National Institute of Design Design Aptitude Test. It is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Design (NID) to shortlist candidates for admission into its various undergraduate and postgraduate design courses at campuses across India. The exam is conducted once a year. The Bachelor of Design (B.Des - 4 Years) is offered at NID Ahmedabad, NID Andhra Pradesh, NID Haryana, NID Madhya Pradesh, and NID Assam. The Master of Design (M.Des - 2.5 Years) is offered at NID Ahmedabad (and its extension campuses at Gandhinagar and Bengaluru) . The exam is designed to test the design aptitude of candidates and assess their creativity, problem-solving skills, and visual perception ability. The exam dates and schedule may change, and the exam may be conducted entirely online or offline or in a combination of both modes as per the discretion of the Institute.
