Reserve Best in Show is an award given at dog shows, which is essentially a runner-up to Best in Show. From the seven group winners, the judge selects Reserve Best in Show and Best in Show, the highest award at a dog show. The Reserve Best in Show winner is selected from the remaining group winners after the Best in Show winner is chosen. No points are awarded for the Reserve Best in Show title, but if the Best in Show winner is disqualified, the title and ribbon go to the Reserve Best in Show winner. The Reserve Best in Show winner gets recognition and congratulations, but the Best in Show winner is the lone, undefeated dog at the end of the conformation event. There has been some discussion about whether points should be awarded for Reserve Best in Show, but currently, no points are awarded for this title.
