The rarest blood type in humans is Rhnull, often called "golden blood." This blood type lacks all Rh antigens on red blood cells and has been found in fewer than 50 people worldwide, with an estimated occurrence of 1 in 6 million people. Rhnull blood is extremely valuable for transfusions for patients with rare blood types but is very difficult to find donors for due to its scarcity.
