Marine One is the call sign for any United States Marine Corps aircraft carrying the President of the United States, but it commonly refers to a fleet of helicopters specifically used for presidential transport. Currently, the main types of helicopters used as Marine One are the Sikorsky VH-3D Sea King and the VH-60N White Hawk. These helicopters are operated by the Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1) and are distinguished by a green and white paint scheme known as "White Tops." The VH-3D Sea King can carry 14 passengers, while the VH-60N White Hawk seats 11 passengers. More recently, the fleet has started to include the Sikorsky VH-92A Patriot, a newer and larger helicopter based on the Sikorsky S-92, which was delivered starting in 2022 and is intended to replace the aging VH-3D and VH-60N helicopters.
