It isn’t possible to know your exact laptop model remotely, but you can find it quickly with a few checks on your own.

Check label on the laptop

  • Turn the laptop over and look for a sticker or etched text on the bottom; it usually lists the brand (HP, Dell, Lenovo, etc.) and a model or series name (for example, “Acer Aspire 5517” or “HP EliteBook 840 G7”).
  • If there’s no label on the bottom, check along the screen bezel or near the keyboard for a printed model name.

On a Windows laptop

  • Press Windows key + R, type msinfo32, and press Enter; in the System Information window, look for “System Model” and “System Manufacturer” to see your exact laptop model.
  • You can also go to Settings → System → About, where the device name and model are shown under Device specifications.

On a MacBook

  • Click the Apple menu → “About This Mac”; the window that opens shows the MacBook model (for example, “MacBook Pro (13‑inch, 2020)”).

If you tell what you see on the bottom label or in those system screens, the exact kind of laptop can be identified and explained in more detail.
