Several universities in the UK have gone on strike due to a long-running dispute over pay and conditions. The strikes were organized by the University and College Union (UCU) and took place in September 2023. The number of UCU members at each affected institution varied, so the effect differed according to where students studied. The following universities were affected by the strikes:

It is important to note that some universities withdrew from co-ordinated strike action after constructive talks with their individual universities where they agreed to stop pay deductions during the marking boycott that took place this year.
