Ovaries are located low in the abdomen in the pelvis, on the left and right sides of the uterus (womb).
Basic location
Each person with ovaries usually has two of them, sitting deep in the pelvic area between the hip bones. They lie close to the ends of the fallopian tubes, one on each side of the uterus.
How to visualize the position
If you place your hands on the front of your hips and move them slightly toward the center and a bit downward, that roughly overlies where the ovaries sit inside the body. They are small, oval organs, a few centimeters in size, tucked against the pelvic wall rather than near the belly button or ribs.
