Ed Gein was from La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA. He was born there on August 27, 1906. Later, his family moved to a farm near Plainfield, Wisconsin, where he spent much of his life. The farm near Plainfield became their permanent residence during his childhood. Gein lived in this isolated area with his family, especially dominated by his deeply religious mother, until the tragic events and his criminal acts occurred.
