Jostens is primarily owned by the private equity firm Platinum Equity, which acquired the company from Newell Brands in 2018 and continues to list Jostens as one of its portfolio companies. In November 2024, Koch Equity Development, the investment arm of Koch Industries, purchased a significant minority stake in Jostens as part of a recapitalization, but Platinum Equity remains the controlling owner.
