Sydney Airport is owned and operated by Sydney Airport Corporation Limited (SACL), which is ultimately owned by the Sydney Aviation Alliance (SAA), a consortium of institutional investors. The key investors in SACL through SAA include Global Infrastructure Partners (37%), IFM Global Infrastructure Fund (18%), UniSuper (15.01%), IFM Australian Infrastructure Fund (14.99%), Australian Retirement Trust (7.5%), and AustralianSuper (7.5%). This consortium acquired Sydney Airport in a deal completed in March 2022, taking it private from the Australian Stock Exchange.
