- Open the Snipping Tool from the Start menu.
- Click the video camera icon to switch to screen recording mode.
- Click "New," then select the area of the screen to record.
- Click "Start" to begin recording.
- When finished, click "Stop recording" and save the video as an MP4 file.
Using Xbox Game Bar:
- Press Windows + G to open the Xbox Game Bar.
- Click the Capture widget, then press the record button to start.
- Press stop to finish and the recording is saved automatically.
You can also start recording quickly with the shortcut Windows + Shift + R to open the Snipping Tool's recording mode directly. These methods allow recording any portion of the screen or the entire screen, with audio options available as well. The videos are saved locally to your PC for easy access and editing.
