"Crocodile Dundee" was filmed from July 13, 1985, to October 11, 1985. The production featured locations in the Australian Outback, such as Kakadu National Park, McKinlay in Queensland, and Girraween Lagoon near Darwin, as well as New York City for the urban scenes. Principal photography began in Queensland before moving to the Northern Territory, and the New York portions wrapped up the schedule by October of that year.
