• He has since reappeared on Raw, attacking Rey Mysterio and LA Knight while seemingly aligning himself with Logan Paul and Paul Heyman’s Vision group.

Backstage reports and speculation

• Multiple wrestling news outlets report that the performer under the mask is Austin Theory, who has been off TV and is reportedly being repositioned as part of The Vision.

• In storyline, commentary heavily teases Seth Rollins by having the masked man use Rollins’ stomp and mannerisms, but Rollins is said to be out with a shoulder injury, making him a red herring rather than the actual attacker.

In other words: on TV, he is still a “mystery man,” but behind the scenes it is widely believed to be Austin Theory under the mask.
