Skydance Media is controlled by its founder David Ellison, who became the owner, chairman, and CEO of the combined company when Skydance Media merged with Paramount Global and National Amusements to form Paramount Skydance in 2025. As a result of this merger, Skydance no longer exists as an independent corporation, but the Skydance brand continues to be used as part of divisions within Paramount Skydance that are ultimately under Ellison’s control.
