Karun Nair is an Indian cricketer who made history in his third Test by scoring an unbeaten 303 against England in 2016, becoming only the second India cricketer after Virender Sehwag to achieve this feat. However, he has not played a game for India since 2017 and has struggled in the Ranji Trophy too. Nairs poor run of form continued, and he was axed by Karnataka from all teams in the 2022-23 season. He was so shattered that he tweeted in desperation, "Dear cricket, give me...". Despite this setback, he started off the 2023 first-class season with a bang, making 252 runs in three innings, including a knock of 175* against Jammu and Kashmir. He has changed his domestic side, topped the charts in Karnatakas T20 competition, and is now scoring for Northants in county cricket. Nair has also played in the Indian Premier League for Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Rajasthan Royals.
